1. Who these terms are between

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a legally binding agreement between you and [YOUR LEGAL NAME], a sole proprietor based at [YOUR ADDRESS, CITY, COUNTRY], the operator of the Aedenly mobile application and the aedenly.com website (collectively "Aedenly", "the Service", "we", "us", or "our").

By creating an account, downloading, or using Aedenly, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You may use Aedenly only if:

• You are at least 18 years old.
• You are not legally barred from using a dating service in your country of residence.
• You have not previously been removed from Aedenly for violating these Terms (unless we expressly reinstate you).
• You are not a registered sex offender of any kind under the laws of your jurisdiction.

You may use Aedenly only for personal, non-commercial purposes. Any commercial, automated, or machine-driven use of Aedenly without our prior written consent is prohibited.

3. Account creation and security

To use Aedenly, you create an account using a valid email address and a password.

You agree to:

• Provide accurate, truthful information about yourself, including age, name, photos, and profile attributes.
• Keep your password confidential and secure.
• Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account at support@aedenly.com.
• Be solely responsible for all activity under your account.

You may have only one account. Multiple accounts will be merged or removed at our discretion.

4. Acceptable use

You agree NOT to:

4.1 — Misrepresent yourself

• Use a fake name, fake age, or photos that are not of you.
• Impersonate another person, including celebrities or other Aedenly users.
• Misrepresent your gender, age, location, or relationship status (we don't police every detail of your bio, but blatant deception is grounds for removal).

4.2 — Harass or harm other users

• Send abusive, threatening, hateful, or harassing messages.
• Engage in sexual harassment of any kind.
• Demand or send unsolicited intimate images.
• Stalk or surveil another user, on or off the platform.
• Discriminate against users based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or any other protected status.

4.3 — Engage in illegal or commercial activity

• Solicit, advertise, or facilitate prostitution, escort services, or any commercial sexual activity.
• Solicit money, financial information, or material gifts from other users.
• Conduct any romance scam, financial scam, phishing, or fraud.
• Sell, rent, or trade your account.
• Use Aedenly to recruit for any business, MLM, religious organization, or political campaign.

4.4 — Misuse the platform

• Upload content that contains nudity, pornography, violence, or illegal material.
• Upload content that infringes anyone's intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights.
• Post content that promotes self-harm, eating disorders, illegal drugs, or weapons.
• Use bots, scrapers, or other automated tools.
• Attempt to circumvent any Aedenly safety, age, or moderation feature.
• Create accounts for any user under the age of 18.

4.5 — Underage users (zero tolerance)

• Sexual content involving anyone under 18 is strictly prohibited and will be reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) or equivalent national authority.
• Adults targeting minors will be permanently banned and reported to law enforcement.

5. Content you upload

5.1 — Your responsibility

You are solely responsible for the photos, messages, bio text, and any other content you upload to Aedenly. By uploading content, you confirm that you have all necessary rights to do so.

5.2 — License to Aedenly

By uploading content to Aedenly, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and transmit your content as necessary to operate the Service, including showing your profile to other users.

This license terminates when you delete your content or your account, except for:

• Content you've already shared with another user (e.g. a sent message — the recipient retains it on their device until they delete the conversation).
• Content cached temporarily for performance reasons (purged within 30 days).
• Content we are required to retain by law.

5.3 — Photo moderation

All photos are reviewed before they appear in other users' discovery decks. We may approve, reject, or remove any photo at our sole discretion, including for reasons not explicitly listed above. We do not owe you an explanation for individual moderation decisions.

6. Subscriptions and payments

Aedenly is currently free to use. There are no in-app purchases or subscriptions.

If we introduce paid features in the future, we will:

• Notify you in-app at least 30 days before launch.
• Make those features purely optional — the core matching, messaging, and discovery experience will remain free.
• Process all payments through Google Play Billing (Android) or Apple StoreKit (iOS), subject to those platforms' refund and cancellation rules.

These Terms will be updated to reflect paid-feature terms before any such launch.

7. Termination and account deletion

7.1 — You can leave any time

You may delete your Aedenly account at any time via Settings → Delete account. Deleting removes your profile, photos, matches, messages, and all other personal data within 30 days (see our Privacy Policy for details).

7.2 — We can suspend or terminate

We may suspend or permanently terminate your account, with or without notice, if:

• You violate these Terms.
• You engage in any conduct described in §4 (Acceptable Use).
• We are required to do so by law.
• We have a reasonable belief that continued access poses a safety risk to other users.
• The Service is being shut down (we will provide at least 90 days notice in this case).

If we permanently ban you, you may not create a new account or attempt to circumvent the ban.

7.3 — Refunds

Because the Service is free, no refunds are owed on termination. If paid features exist in the future, they will be governed by Google Play / Apple StoreKit policies.

8. Safety and risk acknowledgment

Aedenly facilitates introductions between adults but is not responsible for the conduct of users on or off the platform. Use Aedenly at your own risk. Specifically:

• We do not perform criminal background checks on users.
• We do not verify every claim a user makes in their profile (occupation, age beyond DOB, marital status, etc.).
• Verification badges indicate the user has matched a selfie to their profile photos but do not certify identity.
• You are responsible for your own safety when meeting another user offline. Always meet in public, tell a friend, and trust your instincts.

If you are harmed by another user, please contact local law enforcement first, then notify us at support@aedenly.com.

9. Intellectual property

Aedenly's brand name, logo, design, code, and all other materials we provide (excluding user-uploaded content) are owned by us or our licensors and protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws.

You may not copy, reverse-engineer, modify, or create derivative works of Aedenly, except to the extent expressly permitted by applicable law.

10. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT:

• The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
• Any matches will be made or that any matches will lead to relationships.
• User profiles or content are accurate, truthful, or complete.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

11. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, AEDENLY AND ITS OPERATOR ARE NOT LIABLE FOR:

• Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
• Loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunity.
• Damages caused by another user's conduct.
• Damages exceeding [GBP/EUR 100] in total over any 12-month period.

Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations — in those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted.

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for:

• Death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
• Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
• Any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Aedenly and its operator from any claim, loss, or damage (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:

• Your use of the Service in violation of these Terms.
• Your violation of any law or third party's rights.
• Content you upload to Aedenly.

13. Disputes and governing law

13.1 — Governing law

These Terms are governed by [YOUR JURISDICTION — e.g. the laws of England and Wales], without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

13.2 — Where disputes are heard

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will:

• Notify you in-app or by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect.
• Update the "Last updated" date at the top of this document.

Continued use of Aedenly after a material change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not accept, you must delete your account before the change takes effect.

15. Miscellaneous

• Severability: If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
• No waiver: Failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later.
• Assignment: You may not assign these Terms. We may assign them without notice in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
• Entire agreement: These Terms and the Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding Aedenly.
